preparations for July 23rd barn sale

Miss Betty (of Miss Betty"s Bungalow) & I are in full preparation mode
for the upcoming barn sale.

Treasures abound.

Here is a bit of a preview:

Date: Saturday July 23rd from 10am - 4pm

R A I N or S H I N E

Come travel through Leelanau Penninsula amidst the cherry orchards & vineyards.

Wander amidst the beauty on the Penninsula after the barn sale & stop by Tandem Ciders for a bit of hard cider in the charming tasting room 2 doors down owned by Dan Young & Nikki Rothwell located at 2055 North Setteboro Road.

After that, a day at beach or hit the tasting rooms at the vineyard.
A glorious summer day to be had by all!

the EVOLUTION of the BARN SALE

It seems that the old image of the barn sale with rusted out
farm equipment & old hardware stored in a corner for 50 years
is evolving.

Stepping up as the new home decor shopping venues filled
with glorious vintage & antique goods with a mixture of
one-of-a-kind & you-just-have-to-have-it items.

Often held periodically every few months, the stock is forever
changing based on what has caught the eye of the hosts and
seasonal decor.

High-design and modern items?
Sometimes.

As we prepare for our first barn sale, I have been doing a
lot of research on these events that are happening primarily
on the coasts.

Here are a few of the sales that have caught my eye.

cannot help themselves

that vintage & antique barn sale that they have been talking about
for years is really happening

on July 23rd from 10am - 4pm B O U N T I F U L vineyards will be transformed into a vintage/antique shoppers paradise with vendors galore selling their remnants of the past with
all sorts of oddities and curiosities.
